As it was flying out here it’s mainly PSU people on the flight to Chicago. Beat writers Mark Brennan and Ron Mussleman are on it, as is former PSU great Blair Thomas and some people from the PSU admin.
The talk out here this morning? The Lions will land at No. 3 when the new poll comes out around mid afternoon (AP Poll). You can’t punish Alabama for being off, but do you reward Texas by having them jump the Tide?
Keep in mind too, Texas and Missouri play next week, meaning it’s either redemption for the Tigers or No. 1 may possibly fall again.
Another thing to keep in mind…Ohio State travels to Michigan State next weekend. Will the Buckeyes be physically and mentally ready for Penn State in two weeks?? Would Penn State be able to handle the pressure of a top ranking headed into a place they have had little if any success?
There’s a long way to go, but know this. Penn State is good, really good and they are getting better, believe it or not.
